Supernatural Season Seven May Not Be The End
The CW network boss Mark Pedowitz wants to keep Supernatural going as long as the ratings support it.
Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour in Beverly Hills.:
“It is not intended to be the last season, We’ll see how the ratings go. We hope it keeps going. We’ll take it one step at a time.”
I say:
“I hope it keeps going as long as they keep doing high quality stories. As far as I am concerned Supernatural is one of the best things on the air, and the only thing I watch on CW.”
I’m inclined to agree – Supernatural is one of the few bright spots on TV, network or cable. That it’s different from everything else and manages to hold to a higher standard of quality most of the time seems to be a lost art in this day and age. If they can keep it up, I’d like to see this go the distance and overtake Smallville as the longest-running sci-fi series on American TV.
