Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Usually I type this out and edit a little bit before I post.  This time I’m just going on the fly.
This new trailer for Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles frightens me to no end.  From what I’ve seen of it, this is definitely aimed for those who remember Teen Titans fondly.
In the 1 minute and 20 second clip, I saw a mixture between Teen Titans and the old 80s TMNT cartoon humor.  The changing of Cowabunga! to Booyakasha! does disturb me.  I expect to hear that a lot in the upcoming months when this catches on.  Let’s face it, this will catch on.  All I can say is wait for fall and hope for the best, but from the looks of this, there isn’t much there to give hope to.  I may yet get surprised, but somehow I doubt it.  The kindest thing I will say is that it seems like this still gets it more right than the Michael Bay version seemed to be aimed towards.
