Universal Releases Classic Monster Movies on Blu-Ray
Universal will be releasing 8 of their classic monster movies on Blu-Ray just in time for Halloween this year. The Unviversal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection can be pre-ordered from Amazon for $112.
Included in this collection are fully remastered High Definition editions of Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Phantom of the Opera and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. The set also includes a 48-page book featuring behind the scenes photographs, original posters, correspondence and more.
Each of the movies is accompanied by a slate of bonus features that tell the story behind it creation and history. These include behind the scenes documentaries, filmmaker commentaries, interviews, storyboards, photo galleries and trailers.
Also included is the never before seen featurette about the restoration of Dracula. The set also includes the first ever offering of The Creature from the Black Lagoon in its original 3D version.
