Michigan State University Offers Zombie Survival Class

Michigan State University is offering an elective online only class called “Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse: Catastrophes & Human Behavior”.  The class is open to MSU students and non-students alike.

The class begins and ends with a simulated catastophic event, a “Coronal Mass Ejection”, which causes a Zombie Pandemic.  Students will be assinged to Survivor Groups located throught the United States.  They will be required to face the challenges of living and surviving together in during the Zombie Pandemic.

But the course isn’t just about not becoming a Zombies snack, students will also study the historical effects of mass catastrophies like the Great Plauge, a massive earthquake in China in 1556 , and the asteriod impact 65 million years ago that led to the extinction of 70 percent of all living species.
