Review:
I received in the mail the other day a very nicely packaged DVD from the SciFi Channel, it was the first 2 episodes of the new season of Stargate Atlantis. I popped this disc in my trusty DVD player and sat down to watch a very entertaining 2 episodes of Stargate Atlantis.
WARNING: THERE ARE NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW!
This season of Atlantis is off to a great start, if they can keep up the level of the stories and action throughout the season then Atlantis may just survive the canceling of its sister show Stargate SG-1. Bringing Amanda Tapping into the regular cast of Atlantis is a definite plus for the show, and it’s my understanding that Christopher Judge will guest star in a few episodes this season. After the Ancient Replicators attack Atlantis the team activate the Atlantis Star Drive and leave the planet, but Atlantis drops out of hyperspace before they reach their destination and the star drive goes offline standing them in deep space and their power dwindling. That is where season 3 left off, The season premier picks up right where they left off and the team goes through several different plans each with more dire consequences than the other. The second part of the premier (Lifeline) is an action packed heist for the team to steal a ZPM to get Atlantis’ star drive back on line.
