Review:

WARNING: THERE ARE NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW!

Let me start off by saying that I am a huge Highlander fan and have been since the first movie. Also I was really looking forward to this new Highlander movie, that is until I saw an ad saying that it was a SciFi Channel original movie. For years now it has been known by all Science Fiction fans that the SciFi Channel can produce some extremely good Mini-series (Dune, Taken, The Lost Room), and some phenomenal television series (Stargate SG-1: canceled, Farscape: canceled, Invisible Man: canceled, The Dresden Files: canceled), but when it comes to movies they are far from being… what’s the word I am looking for? Oh yeah. Good. Most of their movies aren’t even tolerable. Now back to the topic at hand. Highlander: The Source is, in my opinion, one of the worst in a long line of bad SciFi Channel movies. They jump forward a ways from where the series left off, and all of a sudden the world has gone to Hell in a hand basket. Several of the Immortals are searching for something called the Source that has never been mentioned in any of the Highlander mythology, but apparently they have been searching for it forever and it’s incredibly important even though no one knows what it is. The acting from the cast is actually quite good, given how poor the script is and how non-existent the plot line is.

I'm rating this movie a 2, because my scale only goes down to 1. Although I hope that the SciFi Channel never produces anything worse than this, I'm sure that they will manage to surprise me one day.

Rating: 2
