Default 11th Doctor Already Under Fire

Matt Smith was the Doctor on screen for a mere 30 seconds, yet already he has angered some against him. In his only scene in The End of Time Part 2, after the Doctor regenerates, he sees his hair and comments "Still not ginger.". This comment was made because as the Doctor has mentioned before, he wants to be ginger.

The comment enraged parents who said it upset their red-haired children and would incite school bullies to pick on them. As a parent I would be more upset at myself and my children not being able to understand the comment in its proper context. And Secondly as a fan of the show, the Doctor discourages bullying, so why would bullies all of a sudden start listening to him?

I think people should get a clue and move on with their lives.

Even if you cross your eyes, how does "still not ginger" incite bullies to pick on red-headed kids? Not being green doesn't get you bullied by Kermit haters. You called it - people need to get a clue and mind their own business.

People are always on the look out for some cause to rally behind. Now it's picking on the Ginger children of the world, and the Doctor is enemy #1 on that list. Guess they just don't care to watch the show and take things as they're meant. Besides, even at the moment he said it, it didn't sound malicious. He's just commenting that he wasn't like he was hoping it would happen.

Default No Snowdays for the Doctor...

Neither rain, nor hail, nor sleet, nor snow, nor heat of day, nor dark of night shall keep this Timelord from filming new adventures for us to enjoy. Filming on the new series of Doctor Who continues in Cardiff even though much of England is snowed in.

A show insider said: "A bit of snow might stop mere humans but not the Doctor."

"Filming is on a tight schedule and has to keep on going regardless of the weather. Doctor Who can work around anything."
