That too. But I think the writing legitimately got better. The first 3 seasons were pretty much unwatchable to me, mostly because there are no interesting characters beyond Seven and the Holo-Doctor. They pretty much made the series for me.
But either way, Chloe's not interesting enough to make me see beyond her cuteness to something stronger, and her cuteness isn't strong enough to carry the show. Eli's interesting to a point, but he toes the line between being "one of us geeks" and being a parody slap in the face. And the rest of the characters I could just care less about. It's not an ensemble cast of heroic characters like SG-1 or Atlantis. It's a hodge podge of emo. It's actually worse than BSG, and I couldn't even sit through that fiasco.
But like I say, let me know when the sexy Borg arrives. Aside from Torchwood (looking at you, Cyberwoman), I can't name a show where that actually made things worse. lol
