So the new movie is in the works officially, but apparently Sam Raimi has decided that he might just pull out of directing and into an executive producers spot. The guy that supposedly is going to replace him is the guy that's directing the next Twilight movie.

This article also mentions that the Shadow is like a more violent Batman that's willing to kill. Um... did I miss something from the last two movies? He might not be shooting them, but he's definitely become happy with acceptable losses. Yeah, this has been a great year for the genre so far.

Don't forget, Burton's "vision" had artillery that would put the Shadow to shame. Regardless of the bat-bashing, I'm excited to see the Shadow back in the works. If Raimi's involved, at least he's got a prayer of being realized properly. And if that happens, maybe people will understand why that formula doesn't work for Batman, and why Finger and Kane changed that vision in the comics for the same reason.
